Primary Mathematics (Standards Edition) Extra Practice 1 6 is a series of five supplementary books that follows the topical arrangement in the corresponding grade level of Primary Mathematics Standards Edition textbooks.
Friendly Notes at the beginning of each unit provide a source for reference and revision of concepts. The level of difficulty, as well as the style of the problem, is similar to the exercises in the Textbooks and Workbooks. The short and topicspecific exercises enable instructors to assign work only in those topics in which the student needs more practice. This, together with the simple language used, allows students to review mathematics with minimal guidance.
Primary Mathematics Standards Edition Extra Practice aims to consolidate and reinforce the mathematical skills taught in the Primary Mathematics series. Students will master mathematical concepts with confidence through the use of this series.

Our recommendation:
Extra Practice for Primary Mathematics Standards Edition 16 are recommended for both classroom and home use as a source of extra practice and reteaching of the skills taught in the Primary Mathematics Standards Edition 1A6B textbooks and workbooks. They can be used to review for tests or to review concepts taught a while ago, or as a summer math book to keep concepts fresh.
Although each unit contains “friendly notes” reviewing the topics of that unit, the notes are strictly for review, and the concepts are not developed as thoroughly as in the textbooks, so it is not recommended as a replacement for the textbook. For classrooms, the Extra Practice books could be used to keep parents informed about what math is being taught in school, since the friendly notes will outline the concepts for them, and the practices are representative of the work the students are doing in class.
