    • Kathleen Jalalpour  (teacher, Keys School) is available for teacher training.  Ms Jalalpour can be contacted by email at kjalalpour@keysschool.com.

[Four years ago, Kathleen Jalalpour spearheaded the adoption of Singapore Math® program at Keys School in Palo Alto, California, where it is proving to be a sounding success < one of the only schools so far on the West Coast to use Singapore Math® program. She is in her 3rd year of teaching Singapore Math® program to grades 6 and 7, as well as coordinating the facilitation of Singapore Math in grades 1 - 5.
A native of Northern California, Kathleen studied and taught many years in Berlin, Germany. After returning to the US, she was frustrated with the US approach to math education, and spent years striving to develop her own curriculum that would teach math conceptually < from the concrete to the abstract in long units. Since adopting the Singapore Math® program, she has finally found a curriculum that teaches math as it should be taught.
She has made presentations locally to parents and teachers, and is passionate about spreading awareness of this curriculum, whether to schools considering adoption, or to teachers just wishing to incorporate key elements into their existing programs.]

She is also the co-author of a Singapore Math Training Manual approved by the State of California. Cassy had an epiphany at a Singapore Math parent presentation in 2001. Her young sons were learning math using this new, imported, world-class curriculum.  Seeing their unbridled enjoyment and growing understanding of mathematics inspired Cassy to volunteer in the classroom, complete her certification and sign on as a teacher. Since then, she has taught at the acclaimed Benchmark School in Phoenix, worked with teachers around the country and traveled to Singapore to see the curriculum from the source. Now a math coach and independent consultant, Cassy continues to champion Singapore Math and work with schools and teachers to make every child in every classroom a competent and confident mathematics student.]

Noga does classroom observations, assessments, evaluations and trouble shooting, and helps with every aspect of implementation, including defining targets, designing road maps, setting time tables, planning and more. Noga believes that Singapore Math is a great curriculum, but that a curriculum is only as good as the teachers who teach in the classroom. It is her goal that teachers will be well trained in the concepts, strategies, methods, skills and rigor which are an integral part of Singapore Math. Noga is available for training in Oregon and Southern Washington.]
