LOOK INSIDE GRADE 2 🔎 // In second grade, stude $LOOK INSIDE GRADE 2 🔎 // In second grade, students broaden their mathematical thinking and build on the fundamentals introduced in first grade. Complexity increases steadily with the help of Singapore math methods, such as the CPA (Concrete Pictorial Abstract) approach. Some topics covered in Dimensions Math Grade 2 include: ✖️ Multiplication and division tables ⚖️ Weight in kilograms and pounds 📏 Estimation of lengths in inches and meters ➗ Comparing and ordering fractions 💭 Mental addition and subtraction to 100 📉 Bar and picture graphs We divide our grades into A and B, corresponding with the two semesters of the school year. This is a look at the books for the second half of second grade: Textbook 2B, Workbook 2B, Teacher’s Guide 2B, and Tests 2B. TEXTBOOK 2B: Introduces concepts through the intentional sequencing that defines Singapore math. Covers all the topics in Common Core in its own order. Students write and draw directly in the consumable Textbook. WORKBOOK 2B: Extra practice reinforces topics introduced in the Textbook. Workbooks help students consolidate their knowledge. TEACHER’S GUIDE 2B: Wraparound design shows a picture of the corresponding Textbook page for reference, and surrounds it with full lesson instructions. The Teacher’s Guide shares objectives, questions, activities, and everything you need to successfully lead a lesson. It includes answer keys for all problems in both the Textbook and Workbook. Spiral-bound and large format for ease of use. TESTS 2B: Test books help evaluate student progress. Each chapter has differentiated assessments, with Test A focusing on key concepts and fundamental problem-solving skills, and Test B focusing on the application of analytical skills and heuristics. Tests consist of multiple-choice and free response questions. Perforated pages. ONLINE RESOURCES & MANIPULATIVES: Blackline Masters and other printable materials are free on our website.
